If you wish to exercise your learning with this step-by-step exercise, I can offer you a website for practical application. You can learn by developing your own website, only for pleasure. But remember, Practice makes perfect … and that takes time!

Planning and Design
First, what do I want in my Website?
WOW will have 6 pages:
1 – HOME the first page that internet users will see
2 – ABOUT to present the association
3 – SERVICES for showing the services
4 – GALLERY with photos
5 – BLOG to post some news
5 – CONTACT how to reach
In these videos, I will work on the basic settings and create the 6 main pages to be ready for Appearance.

Appearance
To start customizing your WordPress theme, first go to Appearance -> Themes page. Click on the Customize button. On the page that opens, you can modify your WordPress theme in real-time.
The next videos will demonstrate the work to be done around Appearance. To start, I chose the Education Base theme which suited my training site needs perfectly and was very simple to learn. Then as I develop a lot of e-commerce sites, I migrated to the Ocean-wp theme which offers a lot of customization for the woocommerce extension I use.
There is no magic formula with themes. We have to explore them to find the one that suits our needs. This is time consuming and often the only way is through trial and error.
